Historians in Mr. Hagstrom’s Local History elective extended their school week on Saturday by attending the Mahkato Wacipi (Pow Wow) to experience Dakota traditions and culture. While in the valley, they honored the 38 at Reconciliation Park in Downtown Mankato and visited the bison herd in Minneopa State Park.
At the Harkin Store and the Hermann Monument, the class learned about the early settlers in the area. German cuisine at the Kaiserhoff at New Ulm ended our day before traveling back home.
Including multiple perspectives into our studies, the students are experiencing first hand how complex, interesting, and difficult studying history can be.

It's RACE DAY and our Falcon Cross Country team will be competing at the Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball Invitational! JH boys/girls will start at 4:15, varsity girls at 4:40, and varsity boys at 5:10.

National Honor Society Officers attended a Blood Drive Training with an American Red Cross representative over a Zoom lunch meeting. They will use this information to train in our newest members and help lead all of the NHS students in preparation for our upcoming drive on October 23.
