Received a nice email from the MSHSL Coordinator of Officials, Jason Nickleby, this morning and I thought I’d share.
“Matt-
Awesome job by your team, program and community. Well done!
This is a shoutout to the ACGC girls basketball team, including head coach. The level of sportsmanship, politeness, and courtesy of this team goes above snd beyond the standards. Tonight’s game, the ACGC girls basketball team displayed wonderful sportsmanship before, during, and after the game. From pleases and thank yous, to handing us as officials the ball, to helping the other team’s players up off the floor, to just generally enjoying the game of basketball with smiles on their faces. This is what the game of basketball is all about. Special praise specifically to #1 and #23 on the varsity roster for showing great leadership by showing outstanding sportsmanship all night.”
Winning is awesome, but having outstanding character is better! Couldn’t be prouder to be a FALCON! Now let’s go ACGC Girls Basketball and ACGC Boys Basketball tonight!!
