The 2025 Living Wax Museum was a HUGE success! Our sixth-grade students truly shined today as they presented their Living Wax Museum characters to a crowd of family, friends, and community members who filled our theater. From Senator Amy Klobuchar and advocate Patty Wetterling, to World War heroes James D. LaBelle and Kenneth L. Olson, to legendary golfers like Patty Berg and Lee Jansen, to impactful leaders like Rabbi Deborah Brin and missionary Lillian Dixon—our students brought a wide range of Minnesotans to life with confidence, poise, and knowledge! It was a long afternoon, but the students were eloquent in their speeches and proudly shared what they’ve learned from months of hard work and research. The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive—many were surprised to learn just how many incredible people were born right here in Minnesota! A HUGE thank you to our dedicated judges: LuAnn Glieden, Cindy Rosengren, and ACGC alum Mara Lambert, for their time, fairness, and thoughtful evaluations. We are so excited to announce the winners next Tuesday! Mrs. Walsh, Mr. Rosengren, and Mrs. Streed are incredibly proud of each and every student. Thank you to the parents, grandparents, and community members who came out to support this special event—we hope you walked away inspired and informed, just like our students. What an amazing day of learning, presenting, and celebrating Minnesota history!

You're Invited to ACGC's 6th Grade Living Wax Museum! 🚨 Our 6th-grade students have been working diligently on their Living Wax Museum projects, and we are excited to invite you to witness their hard work come to life! Each student has been researching a Minnesota historical figure, and in an incredible twist, most of them were actually born on the same month and day as the student presenting them! From renowned authors like Sinclair Lewis and F. Scott Fitzgerald, to musicians like Bernie Leadon and Kari Tauring, to golfers like Lee Janzen and Patty Berg, to astronauts like Heidemarie Piper, and even politicians and activists like Amy Klobuchar and Patty Wetterling, this is an opportunity to learn about both famous and lesser-known Minnesotans who have made an impact on history. 📅 Date: Friday, March 21 ⏰ Time: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM 📍 Location: ACGC Junior/Senior High – The Theatre Currently, students are hard at work assembling their trifolds, finalizing their displays, and preparing engaging speeches to bring these historical figures to life. Next week, they’ll be practicing their presentations to ensure a captivating and educational experience for all! This Living Wax Museum is one of the biggest projects of the year for our 6th graders, and they are putting in tremendous effort to make it an unforgettable event. We invite the entire community to come out and support our young historians as they share their knowledge and bring Minnesota history to life! 📚🎭🕵️‍♂️ Mark your calendars and join us for an afternoon of history, learning, and fun!
